Music Compositions using Garage Band

Students researched the style of a "favourite" composer and then recreated that style using Garage Band.  They selected relevant images and uploaded it all onto Youtube, sometimes via iMovie.  These videos are property of the students who created them.

Please enjoy their compositions:

Geology Experiment

Geology by Mckai

Geology is the study of the Earth and the materials of what it is made out of, the structure of those materials, and the processes that are happening to the world. It includes the study of organisms that inhabit our planet. An important part of geology is the study of how Earth’s materials, structures, processes and organisms have changed over time. I had to do an experiment on hot and cold water as they also had to use food coloring in their experiment for their science homework. I had two plastic jars one had hot water and red food coloring, the other had cold water and blue food coloring. Then I put wax paper on one of the jars top, after that I turned the wax paper jar upside down, set it up on the other jar. I quickly pulled the wax paper off the jar so the waters mixed together and made purple because blue and red makes purple. Inside the jars condensation was forming, and the hot water made the cold water warmer.

Caly, Sultana, Mckai, and Alaina all had to do an experiment on hot and cold water as they also had to use food coloring in their experiment for their Science homework.

No-Technology Lunch

The class experienced a no-technology lunch (lights were out, as well). We will be doing it at least once a month to give the computers a rest and see if the students become more sociable with each other.
